Program Overview
The Elaine Sterling Institute Instructor Programs are designed to equip licensed barbers, cosmetologists, estheticians and nail care technicians for a career in teaching by preparing them with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to become successful instructors in the field. Throughout these programs, student instructors will have the opportunity to learn and practice their teaching skills in a real-world setting through practical training with while they sharpen their skills and develop their unique instructional vision and master educationally advanced techniques.
BARBERING INSTRUCTOR PROGRAM
750 hours – MUST FINISH < 1 YEAR
COST – $4777.41– CASH PAY ONLY – PAYABLE ALL UPFRONT OR IN 3 MONTHLY PAYMENTS
225 HOURS ONLINE – Complete first, 15 hours per week (15 weeks or 3.75 months)
525 HOURS ON CAMPUS
DAY SCHEDULE – MONDAY – WEDNESDAY 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
7.5 HOURS PER DAY – 22.5 HOURS PER WEEK (23 weeks or 5.75 months)
COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR PROGRAM

ESTHETICIAN INSTRUCTOR PROGRAM
500 hours – MUST FINISH < 9 MONTHS
COST – $3527.41 – CASH PAY ONLY – PAYABLE ALL UPFRONT OR IN 3 MONTHLY PAYMENTS
225 HOURS ONLINE – Complete first, 15 hours per week (15 weeks or 3.75 months)
275 HOURS ON CAMPUS
DAY SCHEDULE – MONDAY – WEDNESDAY 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
7.5 HOURS PER DAY – 22.5 HOURS PER WEEK (12.25 weeks or 3.25 months)
EVENING SCHEDULE – MONDAY – WEDNESDAY 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Program Objectives
The objective of the Elaine Sterling Institute Esthetician Instructor Program is to develop in the student instructor, teaching skills and educational judgments necessary to become an effective, engaging, and successful instructor. To provide a content-rich curriculum that meets State, National and International requirements in curriculum development, lesson plans and presentations, classroom management and discipline, demonstrations and theory lectures and various methods of evaluation. To train instructor students to critically think as they assess and address the individual needs of each esthetician student. The goal of this program is to qualify and equip the instructor student with the tools, experience, and confidence necessary to pass the State of Georgia Licensing Examination and to assure they are a top candidate for future employers or business opportunities.
