Program Objectives
The objective of the Barbering program is to develop in the student the practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and professional attitudes necessary for success in the Barbering industry and profession. To provide a content-rich curriculum that meets State, National and International requirements in theory, lab, and clinical experience, and that prepares students to confidently enter the industry ready to work. To train students to critically think as they assess and address the individual needs of each client. The goal of this program is to qualify and equip the student with the tools, experience, and confidence necessary to pass the State of Georgia Licensing Examination and to assure the student is the top candidate for future employers or business opportunities.

State Board Requirements
The curriculum for students in a school of barbering for a complete course of at least nine (9) Months totaling fifteen hundred (1500) hours of training shall be as follows:
(b) | When a student has completed 280 hours in the above curriculum, the licensed instructor shall complete a statement to be directed to the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers, signed by the licensed instructor, and the student (and properly notarized) stating the student is now prepared to progress to the clinic floor to perform clinical services on live subjects. After completion of the first 280 hours of training, the curriculum shall be as follows:
