Jill Bates

Dean of Students

Jill has a unique and diverse background with experience and education in the fitness, wellness, and
education fields. She has combined these passions and her strength in communication and building
connections with others to provide student care and coaching to students for over 10 years. Jill has
degrees in the Health Promotion, Health Education, and a doctorate in Higher Educational Leadership.
She has been a group fitness instructor and personal trainer for over 20 years and keeps balance in her
life with physical activity and spending time with her husband Kyle and three cats Sam, Little Mama and
Georgia. For fun, alongside her partner in crime Kyle, Jill has a love of music, concerts, music festivals
and long sunny days on the beach.
